The standard we build to

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which is the standard referenced by Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act, by the European Accessibility Act and by EN 301 549, and by equivalent requirements elsewhere.

Conformance status: partially conformant. That means most of the product meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit, so we describe our position as self-assessed rather than certified, and we do not publish a conformance claim we have not had tested.

What we do

Accessibility work is part of building a feature, not a phase after it.

• —Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
• —Semantic HTML and ARIA are used so that screen readers announce structure, state and purpose; interface tests query by accessible role and name, so a control that loses its label fails a test rather than shipping.
• —Text meets the contrast ratios the standard requires, and contrast is checked automatically against our design tokens rather than by eye.
• —Meaningful images carry text alternatives, and decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology.
• —The interface respects a reduced-motion preference, and animation is not required to understand anything.
• —Layouts reflow to 400% zoom and to small viewports without loss of content or function, and no information is conveyed by colour alone.
• —Forms have associated labels, and errors are described in text next to the field they concern.
• —Light and dark themes are both maintained to the same contrast standard.

Known limitations

We publish these rather than waiting for you to find them.

• —Some dense data tables and analytics views are difficult to navigate with a screen reader, and the underlying data is easier to consume through an export.
• —Some charts convey trends visually with a text summary alongside, but the full data behind a chart is best reached through the underlying report or an export.
• —The live view surface is inherently visual, and there is no non-visual equivalent of watching a screen in real time.
• —Some third-party components we embed — the support messenger, the hosted checkout and the API reference viewer — are outside our control, and their accessibility is their providers' responsibility. We will help you get to the same outcome another way.
• —The desktop agents have minimal interface, but their installers and settings windows have not been formally assessed against the standard.
• —No independent audit has been carried out, so this list is what we know about, not necessarily everything there is.

Assistive technology we test with

Keyboard-only navigation on every supported browser, and screen-reader testing with VoiceOver on macOS and NVDA on Windows, in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

We also run automated accessibility checks in our build pipeline, which catch a real class of regressions and do not substitute for testing with a person.

If something does not work for you

Tell us at accessibility@workmonitor.ai. Describe the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you were using.

We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to give you a plan, a fix, or a workable alternative within 10 business days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you how we can get you the information or the function in the meantime.

If you need information from the product in a different format, ask and we will provide it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, say so and we will escalate it internally. You may also contact the enforcement body in your jurisdiction; asking us first is welcome but is not a precondition.

Procurement and formal assessments

If you need an accessibility conformance report, a VPAT, or answers to a procurement accessibility questionnaire, write to accessibility@workmonitor.ai or legal@workmonitor.ai.

We will complete a questionnaire honestly, including where the answer is "not yet", and we will tell you the basis of each answer. We do not have a completed VPAT today, and we will not send you one produced without testing.

This statement
